Wialon hits 4M connected vehicles milestone

Wialon, a fleet management and IoT platform developed by European software firm Gurtam, has surpassed four million connected vehicles across 160 countries. This achievement solidifies Wialon’s position as one of the largest providers of fleet management, GPS tracking, and IoT software solutions.

From HGVs and LCVs to public buses, agricultural machinery, construction equipment, energy generators, fuel tanks, and waste management trucks, Wialon caters to a wide range of industries, including logistics and transportation, agriculture, construction, energy, and waste management.

Aliaksandr Kuushynau, Head of Wialon, said: “Fleet management solutions are of the utmost importance to businesses, as they are the backbone of operational success. Year on year we are seeing increased adoption of telematics, and a higher emphasis on safety and data analytics, supporting efficiency and sustainability in fleet operations.”

GotYou Telematics, a South African-based provider and integrator of security services for fleet management, secured the landmark four millionth vehicle connection. A Wialon partner since 2017, GotYou Telematics assists clients across various industries in managing and protecting their transport and assets.

Aldo Gerber, Founder and CEO of GotYou Telematics, commented: “We were excited to begin our partnership with Wialon in 2017, and since then, we’ve never looked back. The sky’s the limit if you know how to use the platform’s wide functionality to drive your clients’ success.

“Today, we are delighted to be part of the international Wialon family and to have connected the four millionth vehicle to the platform. It’s an amazing feeling to contribute to such an impressive achievement, marking Wialon’s global leadership in fleet management software.”

Wialon’s success is fuelled by its extensive network of over 2,700 channel partners, primarily SMEs, operating in over 160 countries. The company is committed to empowering these partners by providing them with cutting-edge technology, enabling them to compete effectively in their respective markets.

Through Wialon’s technology and extensive integration options – encompassing over 3,500 device models for data capture and GPS tracking – partners can launch, operate, and expand their businesses without significant development investments. This approach democratises access to advanced technology, traditionally enjoyed by larger corporations, levelling the playing field for smaller fleet operators and enhancing their operational capabilities.

Wialon’s platform is vehicle and device-agnostic, easily scalable to accommodate both small and large fleets, and provides a unified platform for comprehensive operational tracking. Wialon caters to a wide range of fleet sizes, from those with under 50 vehicles to those exceeding 1,000 connected vehicles.

“We still remember the excitement of reaching our first 400,000 vehicles back in 2015. It took us nine years to add three more zeros to this number. Starting small and dreaming big, who could have imagined how far we would come?” Kuushynau reflected.

“As we move to our next milestones, we are committed to enhancing our services to help the Wialon partner community grow and thrive. We know this will be an exciting journey.”
